Recently our church opened a cafe on their campgrounds. This was a DIY project in which the whole church participated. The name of the cafe is "Oishian". It is a play on words meaning "Tasty Food Shop." But the real meaning is found in the Japanese Kanji writing. The kanji writing is 生石庵. The first two kanji mean "Living Stone" from 1 Peter 2:4-5. The desire is that in this place, it will be a retreat from the busyness of life and a place where people can encounter Jesus--the Living Stone. Enjoy the video below as we take you through our town and to the cafe.
